Zoo Review Card Class

I am finally getting around to posting the other cards I created for my Zoo Review card class. This is a very nice stamp set to use. I made them mainly to be used for the men, but I believe women would enjoy getting these cards as well.
The first card I used bashful blue, night of navy, and whisper white cardstock. Polar bears live in a colder environment, which made me think of the blues to represent that. The sentiment is from the happiest birthday wishes stamp set. It will be retired as of June 1st. The snowflake punch, ribbon and snow burst textured embossing folder will also be retiring. I decided to use these before it happened.
To make the card with the zebra I used naturals ivory, basic black cardstock, and first edition specialty designer series paper. The sentiment is from the perfectly penned stamp set. For tools I used a stampin' sponge. For accessories I used hemp twine, which is retiring June 1st.
For this last card I used river rock, cajun craze, very vanilla cardstock, and well worn designer series paper. The sentiment is from the stamp set perfectly penned. To color the lion I used watercolor pencils. I used a stampin' sponge around the edge of the image. Lastly, I used early espresso 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, of which, it too is retiring June 1st.
Just to let you know that even though there are a lot of things retiring this time around, there is a lot of new things coming up. Stampin' Up! is keeping up with the times. I don't know about you, but I love new stuff.

Once again, I thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope you like what you see and if you have time please leave a comment.
Now it is your turn to go-n-stamp!!

Mother's Day Cards

I know Mother's Day is over, but I wanted to post 2 cards I had created for the occasion. One was for my daughter that celebrated her first Mother's Day and the other one was for my mom.
The first card was made using melon mambo, tangerine tango, wild wasabi, and whisper white cardstock. I used the fabulous florets, family reunion, and tiny tags stamp sets. To color the flowers I used melon mambo and tangerine tango watercolor crayons and a blender pen. For tools I used my Big Shot, the textured impressions designer frame embossing folder, and the lace ribbon border punch. My daughter always like orange. This is why I chose these colors for this card.
This card I made for my mom. I used marina mist and whisper white cardstock. Field flowers, En Francais,  and family reunion stamp sets. For classic ink I used Marina mist, wild wasabi, and crumb cake. For tools I used the 1 3/4"  and the 2 3/8" scallop circle punches. For accessories I used the basic rhinestone jewels.

I hope you enjoyed visiting my blog. I ask that you come back again. Have a wonderful day and if you have a minute leave a comment.

Zoo Review Birthday Card

Welcome blogging friends. I pray you are having a very good day. I wanted to share with you a card I made using the stamp set "Zoo Review." This stamp set is great for all genders, but I am using it to have a class for manly cards.

I am not sure if I am completely happy with the way this card turned out. I think if I had used hemp or twine, instead of ribbon it would have been better. I am thinking about making another one and trying it with twine or hemp and see if that is why I am not pleased.

These are the Stampin' Up! products I used to create this card. Stamp set: Zoo Review; Cardstock: naturals ivory, cajun craze, early espresso, and well worn designer series paper; Classic Ink: cajun craze and early espresso; Tools: stampin' sponge, 1 3/4" circle punch; Accessories: 1/4" early espresso grosgrain ribbon.

If you have a minute leave a comment and tell me what you think.
