DCBD 102

Today, instead of having a sketch to design from, we were given a color challenge. I thought the colors went great together, until I checked the colors again and seen that there was a color that I had missed. It did throw me off a little bit, but I thought well if it went together in a bedspread it will have to look good on a card.

Here is the color challenge we were asked to use.

I had seen a card made with an Origami Christmas Tree. I loved the look right away. When given this color challenge, I started pulling out the colors and thought the tree would look great with these colors. I downloaded the tutorial from Juliann's blog. Give it a try. It is not hard to make and makes a very pretty card. Well, here it is. Tell me what you think. I used the angled picture so you could see how it is 3-D.

These are the items I used to make this card.

Cardstock: Always Artichoke, Close to Cocoa, Cameo Coral, Bravo Burgundy, So Saffron, and DSP from Level 1 hostess pack (tree)

Stamp Set: Snow Swirled

Stamp Pads: Cameo Coral, Bravo Burgundy, and VersaMark

Accessories: Iridescent Ice EP, Snow Blossom punch, 1/2" circle punch, Scallop Edge punch, and Small Star punch

Ok, I decided to go ahead and put the front view on here too. You can't see some of the details in the other picture.
