Fancy Favor Basket

Happy Tuesday to everyone. Believe it or not, 25 years ago today, I married my husband and best friend, Dave. I would say the two strongest things about our relationship has always been sharing the same faith in God and having very good communication skills. From the time we first liked each other conversation has always been so easy. Well, I wanted to make something for him as a gift.

Do you love it when people come up with a new idea using a certain tool. Well, I do. I wanted to think outside of the box and come up with and idea using the fancy favor box die. Instead of the box being shaped like a rectangle, I made it into a square. It is very easy to change. I cut the DSP to cover just the first main section (front) of the box. You have to have some of the side cut with it too. You use the little bit of the side to adhere it to the other pieces of the fronts. You need to cut 4 of the front pieces. Once I glued them all together I cut a square to adhere to the bottom. The normal bottom tabs are not long enough to attach them altogether.

I wanted to show you two different views in order for you to get the whole idea of what it looks like. I filled it with a whole bag of nuggets. No, I do not want to make my husband gain weight. I just know that he likes them. More than likely I will eat some of them too!! :-)

Now it is your turn to try this out. If you have any problems you can email or comment me and ask. I will try and help you out.
Recipe for this box. All items are current Stampin' Up! products.
DSP: Autumn Meadows (mini catalog)
Stamp set: Autumn Harvest
Cardstock: really rust, naturals ivory, and chocolate chip
Ink: really rust and chocolate chip
Tools: Big Shot, fancy favor box die, watercolor crayons, and blender pens
Accessories: vintage brads
If you like this out of the box idea, please leave a comment and tell me what you think. Now I want to see you take this idea and use it for yourself. It is very easy to do.
Now go-n-stamp!!
