DCBD #130

Here we go once again, everyone. Are you all ready to go get out your stamps, ink, and most importantly your Big Shot? We really want to see more people join us in doing these challenges. Lately it doesn't seem like very many of you have been participating. The main reason for this design team is to inspire you to do this with us, not to look at what we have done. Yes, I realize your seeing what we have done gives you ideas, but if you don't play along what good are our ideas. By the way, if for some reason you don't have a Big Shot, but you do have a cuttlebug or other sizzix machine it counts too. Click here to go to the Diva Coffee Break Designs blog to sign up along with us.
I was showing my husband my blog the other day. I told him I had the most comments on my manly card. His suggestion was for me to make them more often. Well, I did try to do that this week, but I think this is more for the young men in our lives. I had fun using watercolor crayons and blender pens. My sky, well, let's just say I need to work on that more. It is ok, but it could be better. Since this was the Big Shot challenge, I used the top note die and the swirls scribbles sizzlet. Other tools I used were the scallop oval punch, the large oval punch, a stamping sponge, and the paper piercer. I used the stamp sets Boatloads of Love and Oval All. The card stock is real red, so saffron, brocade blue, bashful blue, DSP brocade blue and basic gray (hostess pack), and watercolor paper. The ink pads were real red and StazOn black. I also used the 5/8" grosgrain real red ribbon. For the life preservers I used the white gel pen.
You will have to tell me what you think of how it turned out. Please though, join in with us this week. We try to go to your blogs and comment you too.
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my blog. Have a wonderful week.
God bless,
Chris
