DCBD #119

I just want to encourage everyone who takes a look at this week's challenge, that isn't on our design team, to try it yourself. Post it on your blog and let us know by going to this blog and putting your name and URL in the mister linky's magical widget.
I had fun with this sketch. I think some are just easier to really be creative with and think out of the box. It should be very exciting to look at all of the other Diva's cards. I know I have said before, but it is so cool just to see how everyone else creates their projects. God made us so differently in our ideas. I used to think someone else would do the same thing I did, but it has never happened yet, nor do I think it ever will. I know, dumb idea huh?
Along with this sketch challenge this week we were asked to use stamps and supplies out of the Sale-A-Bration mini catalog. I did end up using a saying from the regular catalog. I didn't buy or earn any of the sets that had the sayings that would have been appropriate. I hope it doesn't matter.
Here are the supplies used to make my card.
Stamp sets: polka dot punches and fresh cuts
Cardstock: so saffron, sahara sand, bashful blue, certainly celery, and delicate dots DSP
Ink: VersaMark pad, bordering blue, bashful blue, and mellow moss
Tools: sizzix scallop circles #2, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches, 3/16" and 1/8" anywhere hole punch, and the large and wide oval punches
Accessories: soft subtle brad (certainly celery), so saffron and certainly celery ribbon from the sale-a-bration mini catalog

Yay! I get to be first to comment on this gorgeous card. I love the way you used ink on the designer series paper. It sure adds another dimension. Beautiful

I'm too are surprised on how with the same materials and sketch, we all have something completely different. That's the nice thing about stamping :) Very nice card!
Greetings.

You know what's funny?! I used to worry that the first idea that came to mind for me on a particular stamp set must surely be what everyone else is thinking so I'd work really hard to go outside the box... then when I'd see everyone's creations and how different they were I'd realize I'm only inside MY box, but outside everyone else's! LOL! You are right though- how interesting. You did a nice job on this challenge!
