Father's Day Card

Hello blogger world. I finally have something new to post today. Father's Day is coming upon us very quickly. Even though I can't make a card for my own father because he is no longer on this earth with us, I still have a husband to make one for. I would make one for my son-in-law too, but he is away on a training course for the air force right now. I may have to think something up differently for him.

Below is the end result of what I came up with. My husband would probably love to go to the beach right now. It would be great if we could. It is not doable for us right now though. I thought I would use a stamp set that could be used for a manly card. It is in the summer mini catalog.

Here is the recipe for this card.
Stamp sets: tropical party, and teeny tiny wishes
Cardstock: basic black, sage shadow, naturals white, and nouveau chic dsp
Ink: sage shadow, basic gray, going gray, so saffron, and versamark
Tools: big shot, ovals bigz die, modern label punch, and word window punch
Accessories: 5/8" black grosgrain ribbon

I think this card turned out manly and sophisticated. I am sure my husband will be pleased with the results. He isn't hard to please, which that makes it easy for me.

If you have a minute please take the time to leave a comment telling me what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by................
Now go-n-stamp!!

Okay Chris, I think this card might get you a trip to the islands!! What would make it even better would be a little hula girl on the front using punches (I saw one somewhere). Then attach it with a spring so she dances. LOL
I do like your card -- just thinking about what my husband would like. Thanks for sharing.
