I just want to start off by telling everyone, "Happy Thanksgiving!" We were given the choice to participate or not in this challenge. Heidi thought maybe it would be hard for some of the designers to be able to do this because of Thanksgiving being tomorrow. I opted in. I really enjoy doing this. It really helps you learn a lot from seeing what everyone else can come up with. Without me babbling on, here is the sketch we were given this time by Heidi.


I have learned by seeing other people make their sketches that the shape doesn't always have to be exactly the same as the sketch. I thought I would try and think out of the box and come up with something a little different, but it still has all the aspects of this sketch.

Here is my card.

I didn't make the paperclip to be taken off of the card. It could have been made to though. It would make a very pretty Christmas ornament.

Today, instead of having a sketch to design from, we were given a color challenge. I thought the colors went great together, until I checked the colors again and seen that there was a color that I had missed. It did throw me off a little bit, but I thought well if it went together in a bedspread it will have to look good on a card.

Here is the color challenge we were asked to use.

I had seen a card made with an Origami Christmas Tree. I loved the look right away. When given this color challenge, I started pulling out the colors and thought the tree would look great with these colors. I downloaded the tutorial from Juliann's blog. Give it a try. It is not hard to make and makes a very pretty card. Well, here it is. Tell me what you think. I used the angled picture so you could see how it is 3-D.

Diva's Coffee Break Design Challenge 101

About a week ago I was asked to be on a design team. Heidi is the head "Diva" and the one that started this team. I am very thrilled to have been asked and to be on this team. I hope you all become inspired and check out the other "Diva's" on the team and see what they came up with for the same sketch.

Here is the sketch we were given by Heidi. From this you have to use your creativity to put together a card. It is very easy to do if you haven't done it before. In fact, you should take the sketch and try it yourself.

Simply Scrappin' I Wish 60 Christmas Card Class

These are sample cards of the SS I Wish 60 card class I am having. I had a lady today say that these cards are much nicer in person than what they are on my blog. So I hope if you are considering this class that you will keep that in mind. I have found there are so many possibilities with these cards. Even though I have these samples everyone can have completely different cards depending on their own creativity. That is another reason why I like this class. The way they turn out is up to each individual. The ideas are pretty much endless. Just in case you don't know this, you can click on the picture, which will make it come up bigger. You can get a better view of what they look like this way. I hope you can come. We should have a fun time together creating.

Prayer Journal

Our Real Life Group women had a ladie's night out. We made prayer journals using composition books. I believe everyone had a very fun time and enjoyed playing. That was the whole purpose of doing this.

Above is a picture of the women who came for Ladie's Night Out and their prayer journals. I think they all did an excellent job on them. It is neat seeing how differently everyone made their own.

Paint Pail

I have a few of these paint cans. I have been wanting to alter them for a while. My nephew seems to like my papercrafts. I was going to make him a backpack, but thought he might like this better.
