Wow, I loved this color challenge. For me this matched and was not difficult to do. To be completely honest with you, I love my card. I don't always feel this way about my cards. There are times I feel that I really fall short in comparison to other's cards, but we all create differently. I can't wait to check out all of the other diva's cards, the seniors and juniors.

Wonderful News!!
This is so exciting! I am looking forward to seeing everyone else's work. The Lord gave us all such unique creativity, in the fact that, none of us thinks alike in what we create. That is the coolest thing. This should be a lot of fun.
If you aren't a diva, please try these challenges along with us each week or whenever you can. We would love to see your paper creations too. That is what makes this whole thing worth while and fun.
Thanks, Heidi and Julie, for doing this for us. I know it takes a lot of time and effort to do this sort of thing. Just trying to keep up my own blog can be time consuming. I can't imagine doing all that you will be doing for this new blog. Once again, THANK YOU!!

Another week has went by. It is once again time for the Diva's Coffee Break Design Challenge. This week we were given a sketch by Heidi, our head Diva. For me this was an easy challenge. I see now where I could have added more to my card, but last night when I was working on it I didn't think of it. Isn't that how it is sometimes? I was tired when I was making it because I had just finished up designing the cards for my birthday card class. I just wanted to get this one done fast. Not only is this card for this challenge, but I also made this for my husband's birthday. Are you wondering how old he is going to be? Well, I think I will just leave you guessing.
Crazy for Cupcakes Card Class
Valentine Card
This is what I used to make the card. I used the Texturz plate (Harlequin) for the background effect on basic black cardstock. The Love stamp from the Love you Much stamp set. For ink I used Riding Hood Red, but I also used real red, and basic black Stampin' markers. I used the heart to heart punch for the heart cut-outs. I used the crop-o-dile to punch the holes and set the jumbo antique brads. I ran real red 1/4" grosgrain ribbon through the brads and tied the ends into a loose knot. For some of the detailing I used my white uniball gel pen. For the corners of the stamped image I used the ticket corner punch. I added a black brad to the middle of the flower. On the background, real red cardstock, I used the corner rounder punch.
Tell me what you think of it. Look for comment below and click on it. That is for anyone that doesn't know how to comment.

Another week has went by and it is already time for another challenge. This color challenge seemed easy to me. I decided to make a baby card because I may be going to a baby shower on Saturday.
I used quite a few new tools on this card. You may not be able to see it, but I used the small dots texturz plate on the kraft cardstock. I really love my Big Shot! I hope you like my card. If you have never tried to do our challenges why not try it this time around. Make sure you check out all of the other diva's cards too and leave a comment.
Recipe for this card
Cardstock: pink pirouette, always artichoke, kraft, almost amethyst, DSP from bella birds
Stamp pads: almost amethyst and pink pirouette
Tools: scallop circle punch, sizzlits birds and blooms, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, texturz small dots plate, and eyelet border punch
Accessories: 3/8" whisper white taffeta ribbon, and circle fire rhinestone brads (pink)

I finally made my card for this weeks challenge. It isn't my favorite. I could have done more to it to make it look better, but I was pressed for time and didn't do as much as I would like to have done.
Tell me what you think. Make sure you take the time to check out everyone else's on the design team. I am going to do that too. Also make a card yourself from the sketch. If you have a blog let me know so we can see what you came up with for yours.
