Lovely as a Tree Manly Card

Do you ever have those days when you try to make a card and your aren't really in the mood for it? That is how I was yesterday. I made my image using stamps and was not happy with it. Guess what I did? Yep, I threw it away.

After I gave up trying to make a card, yesterday, I put some thought into what I wanted to do. I had made a manly card once before using these colors. I decided I wanted to use those same colors again, just with a different stamp set and design.

This card will be going to my son-in-law for his 21st birthday. I will have to get it into the mail very quickly because it has to travel to Wyoming by Tuesday.

You can't really tell in this picture, but I cut the middle tree out and added dimensionals behind it to make it stand out. I am pleased with how this card turned out. What do you think? You can leave me a comment at the bottom of this post.

Recipe for this card: Stampin' Up! supplies
Stamp sets: lovely as a tree and teeny tiny wishes
Ink: bravo burgundy, really rust, and chocolate chip
Cardstock: bordering blue, bravo burgundy, mellow moss, really rust, and very vanilla
Tools: word window and modern label punches, stamping sponge, and crop-o-dile
Accessories: 5/8" bravo burgundy grosgrain ribbon and jumbo eyelets antique brass

I hope you are inspired by seeing this card to get your stamps out and create something also.
Now go-n-stamp!!

Isn't this such a wonderful set? Masculine cards are so hard to design for me. This is a great example that I'm sure many people will appreciate...especially your BIL!!

This is so perfectly masculine - love the warm colors and the manly hardware (jumbo eyelets).
