DCBD 103

I just want to start off by telling everyone, "Happy Thanksgiving!" We were given the choice to participate or not in this challenge. Heidi thought maybe it would be hard for some of the designers to be able to do this because of Thanksgiving being tomorrow. I opted in. I really enjoy doing this. It really helps you learn a lot from seeing what everyone else can come up with. Without me babbling on, here is the sketch we were given this time by Heidi.

I have learned by seeing other people make their sketches that the shape doesn't always have to be exactly the same as the sketch. I thought I would try and think out of the box and come up with something a little different, but it still has all the aspects of this sketch.

Here is my card.
I didn't make the paperclip to be taken off of the card. It could have been made to though. It would make a very pretty Christmas ornament.

Recipe:

Cardstock: Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, and DSP Holiday Treasures

Stamp Set: Snow Swirled

Ink Pads: Ruby Red, Baja Breeze, and Old Olive

Tools: Boho Blossoms punch, Snow Blossom punch, and Coluzzle circle template

Accessories: On Board Batch of Blooms, 5/8" grosgrain Chocolate Chip ribbon, Rhinestone circle brad (ice), Rub-Ons Word Flurries, and UniBall white gel pen

Non SU! item: giant paperclip

  6. Very pretty. I've never thought of using the giant paper clips as an accent on a card. Great idea.
