Mickey Mouse Hereshey's Nugget Cake

Hello everyone! I don't know about you, but I am tired of the cold and snow. Part of the reason I have not posted much is because my craft area is in the basement. Even with a heater it still has been very cold. When I do come down to work on a project I don't last very long before I am back upstairs trying to get warmed up, again. Even so, I have still been able to work on some things, just a little at a time.
I don't know if you have ever seen a cake made out of the Hershey's Nuggets before, but I have and wanted to make one for my Grandson's birthday party that is coming up here very soon. As you can see by the picture, he loves Mickey Mouse. He has liked watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for quite some time. You can also tell that he will be turning 2 years old.
This was so worth the effort of making. I actually got my idea from Pinterest. If you do a search in Pinterest, you will find quite a few different ones that can give you some ideas of how to create one. I know someone even has a tutorial. I looked at it, but did not take there advice on what to use to put in the middle of each layer. I can not bring myself to use toilet paper rolls! It grosses me out! I used round plastic containers for the bottom two layers. You could use paper towel or gift wrap rolls for an alternative also. For the top I just used cardstock.

These are the Stampin' Up! products used to create this nugget cake.
Hershey's Nuggets (not Stampin' Up!)
Cardstock: Real Red, Basic Black, and Whisper White
Stamp Set: Happiest Birthday Wishes (Retired)
MDS: For the number 2
Tools: Big Shot, Scallop Circle Bigz Die, 2 3/8" and 1 1/4" scallop circle punches, and Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Blossom Petals Builder Punch (retired), Owl Builder Punch, Circle Framelits, Small Oval Punch, 1/2" circle punch, 1 1/4 and 1 3/8" circle punches
Accessories: 1/4" and 3/8" grosgrain ribbon in Real Red, Whisper White, and Basic Black (retired), Earth Elements Candy Dots
The other non-Stampin' Up! thing I used was lollipop sticks for the balloons and Mickey.

If you have been playing with the idea of buying one, go for it! I am glad I did. I also bought the Thinlits Circle Card Die, too. I have already started a card using it, but it may take me some time to finish it because I am not sure what all I want to add to it. In the mean time I am still working on Mickey Mouse projects. I will share those with you as I get them done.
