From My Heart

I don't know about you, but I think the From My Heart stamp set is very pretty. I wanted it as soon as I seen it in the catalog. I have only made 2 cards using this set so far, but I am planning on using it quite a bit more in the future. For this card I chose to use the This to Shall Pass sentiment. It can be cut out using the labels collection framelits dies, which is run through the Big Shot. I love the different shapes that Stampin' Up! has come out with in the framelits. I would love to see them come out with ovals in the future too. We shall see.
This card was made using night of navy and whisper white cardstock. I already told you I used the From My Heart stamp set, the Big Shot, and the Labels Collection Framelits Dies. The other stamp set you see is the Flowering Flourishes. I love this stamp set too because you can use it for some really nice backgrounds. The night of navy was given texture using the Fancy Fan Folder. To antique the whisper white I used a stampin' sponge along with early espresso ink. Lastly, for the embellishment I used the very vanilla 1/2" seam binding ribbon.
Sorry it has been a while since I posted. I had it made, but I just haven't taken the time to get it posted. I have some more cards I need to get done this week. I have to make an anniversary card for my husband and a birthday card for my daughter. Plenty to do, just finding the time to do it can be the hard part.
Thanks for stopping by. Leave a comment if you would like.

Fall Get Well Card

I love fall! The colors, the weather, the feeling of being creative! With the upcoming holidays, it just puts me into a creative mood. The sad thing is I don't have time to make all of the things I would like to.
Today, I have a card that I created for a coworker. We have to go through some things in this life that are life changing and down right not fun. This card was made to help cheer her and her son up.

This card was made with cajun craze, always artichoke, early espresso, and very vanilla cardstock. I used the stamp set lovely as a tree and word play. For tools I used my big shot, houndstooth embossing folder, apothecary accents framelits, stampin' sponge, watercolor pencils, square lattice embossing folder, and the 2 1/2" circle punch. For embellishments I used the regal designer buttons and the mini library clips (retired).
Thanks for allowing me to share with you some of my creativity. I hope you like what you see and you come back often to visit.

Patterned Party Card 4

This is the last of the cards I had created for my Patterned Party Birthday card class. I ended up using all the same color family for each of the cards. It makes it easier for me. I don't have to worry about what colors to use every time. For me, that can be challenging. In fact, I am going to start creating cards for another class. I am still not completely sure what colors I am going to use for it. It is so much easier once I have that settled.

For this card, once again, I used Patterned Party for the stamp set. For tools I used my Big Shot with the houndstooth embossing folder and the 1 1/4" circle and 1 3/8" circle punches. Even though you really can't see it, I used the paper piercing tool also. The only embellishment I used was the cherry cobbler baker's twine. Just in case you are wondering, the balloons in the background were made with the versamark stamp pad.
Thanks again for stopping by. I hope you come back often and some of my card/paper creations inspire you to create also.
