Stamping411 Challenge SSC183

I loved the Stamping411 sketch for this week. I needed to make a thank you card and the sketch was a great design for me to work from.

When starting I thought I wasn't going to like it, but once again the end result turned out great. That is what counts. I chose my colors from the Stampin' Up! catalog. Sometimes when I can't come up with the colors I would like to use, I will look in the catalog at the samples, find out what colors were used, and then make a card of my own.

Here is a close up of the butterfly. It is made 3D by using dimensionals and glue dots. I twisted 1/4" early espresso grosgrain ribbon around the middle. I should probably say I also used my Big Shot and the Bigz Beautiful Butterflies die. I am very thankful that I bought it.

All products used are Stampin' Up!
Cardstock: baja breeze, crumb cake, soft suede, and elegant soiree dsp
Ink: baja breeze, early espresso, and soft suede
Stamp set: because I care (sentiment)
Tools: big shot, beautiful butterflies bigz die, elegant lines embossing folder, perfect details texturz plate, stamping sponge, and scallop trim border punch
Accessories: 1/4" early espresso grosgrain ribbon and basic pearl jewel

Well, I hope you like it. I really do. If you have a minute leave me a comment!

Christmas Tags (2)

Christmas, yes, Christmas will be here and gone before you know it. I pray that you and your families are all doing well and have a wonderful Christmas celebrating what the Lord did for us by sending His son, Jesus. Now that is the most wonderful gift anyone has ever given to us.

Have you been making cards, tags, and gifts? I sure do hope so. I try to work on things when I have some extra time to do it. I wanted to share with you 2 more Christmas tags I made. These are really fast and fun to make. Like I have shared with you before, my daughter's boyfriend is a hunter. I had to make a special gift tag for him with a deer on it. Do you suppose it would make him not want to kill a deer ever again? I doubt it. How could you shoot something so innocent, though? I guess, you have to love the sport.

These are the Stampin' Up! supplies I used to create these cute little gift tags.

Cardstock: marina mist, shimmery white, night of navy, and whisper white
Stamp sets: forest friends and snow swirled
Ink: night of navy and platinum shimmer paint
Tools: big shot, two tags bigz die, sponge dauber, boho blossoms punch, and snowflake XL punch
Accessories: clear and silver tinsel trim, filigree designer brad, and dazzling diamonds glitter

When visiting my blog, please take the time to leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Gift Tags for Christmas

Christmas will be here very soon! Have you been working on cards, tags, and little gifts? I hope you have found time to do it. Homemade items are so fun to make and give away. I am really going to try to get some other projects done and posted in the next few days/week.

Here are some gift tags I made using the Big Shot (113439) and the two tags bigz die (115954). They are quick and fun to make. I used quite a few punches to decorate them. You can tell me what you think by leaving a comment at the bottom of this post. I love comments!

I wanted to show you a close-up of one of the tags. This shows you the dimension and detail better.

These are some of the Stampin' Up! items I used to create these tags.

Cardstock: garden green, real red, night of navy, baja breeze, blushing bride, shimmery white, and Candy Land DSP
Classic Ink: real red and night of navy
Tools: big shot, two tags bigz die, elegant lines, petals-a-plenty, and northern flurry embossing folders, white gel pen, platinum shimmer paint, 5 petal flower XL, snowflake XL, ornament XL, eyelet border punch, dotted scallop ribbon border, and the two step bird XL punches, stampin' sponge, and corner rounder

Autumn Spice Favors

Sorry for being late in posting these Autumn Spice Favors. I had them done last week, but because of having family staying here I spent time with them as much as possible.

I made these up for fellow coworkers at my job. I figure the only way to try and sell Stampin' Up! is to promote it by making things. These were very fast to create. I may try to do something similar closer to Christmas.

To make these up I used Autumn Spice DSP. I used coordinating cardstock and ink. The punches used were modern label, word window, 1 1/4" circle, 1 3/8" circle, scallop circle, scallop border, eyelet border, and scallop trim border punches. The 1/4" grosgrain ribbon was chocolate chip and always artichoke, of which, have been retired.

Thanks for looking. I hope these will inspire you to make up your own favors. You can use any kind of designer series paper for whatever occasion you need them for. Have fun!!
