In Memory

One year ago today my dad (Sonny) passed away. I just wanted to share how much he is missed and loved. He was my shopping buddy, listener, and defender. We would go shopping on the Saturdays he did not have to work. From the time I was a little girl we would go shopping on Christmas Eve. He always waited to the last minute to buy my mom her Christmas presents. I would usually wrap them for him too. The last few years we had went I didn't though. He was a believer in Christ, a giver, didn't talk bad about people, a man of integrity. One other thing I want to add is that people used to think we were married. The reason is because how many father and daughters do you see out doing things together. I am so very thankful for having him for a father. He is definitely missed, but I know where he is and I can spend eternity with him. The Lord has promised that anyone who believes in HIM, meaning Christ, shall be saved (John 3:16 and Acts 16:31). Another verse that I really like is this: "But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus." Ok, that is 2 verses, which are found in First Thessalonians 4:13-14. I love you, Dad, and miss you.

More Trade Show Things

Here are a few more things I have been working on for the trade show. Mainly I used things that aren't SU! except for the punches. I used the scallop punch (SU!) and my cuttlebug dies.

Trade Show

These are some things I have been working on for a Trade Show that is coming up very soon. Most of the stuff I am using for them is not SU!, but I did use Love and Happiness Rub-Ons, which are now retired. I also used SU! punches and my cuttlebug dies.

Sympathy Card 2 & 3

Even more than the other sympathy card I wondered if these colors would go. When you put the Ballet Blue in I thought, "No Way!" Guess what? Yes, Way! Here is the recipe for these cards.
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose, More Mustard, Ballet Blue, and Whisper White
Ink: Regal Rose
Stamp Set: Close as a Memory
Brads: Earth Elements and Rhinestone Fire Circles
Punch: Boho Blossoms
White uni-ball Signo Gel Pen

Sympathy Card

This is one of 3 sympathy cards I made last week. It is amazing how the colors go together. I can honestly say a lot of times I wonder if it will or not. I guess SU! knew what they were doing when they made their color coach. Here is the recipe for this card. Everything is Stampin' Up!
Paper: Old Olive, Bravo Burgundy, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White, and More Mustard
Ink: Elegant Eggplant
Stamp Set: Close as a Memory
Brads: Earth Elements

Niece's Card

It is my niece's 15th birthday and I needed to make her a card. I wanted to make it with a pocket to hold the money. I used the So many scallops rubber stamp, tempting turquoise stamp pad, versamark pad, word window punch, scallop punch, 3/16 corner rounder, rhinestone circle brad (ice), and the white uni-ball pen, all of which, are SU! products. The paper and flowers are from a craft store. It is easy to make. I tend to take a while when I make things because I have to work with it until I am satisfied.

Happy 4th of July

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July. I hope you get to spend time with your families and even have a cookout together. God bless you and our country!

Pull-out-book

Heidi, my upline, challenged Julie and I to make one of these books. I do like how it turned out. I woke up this morning though and thought about another way it could be used. The way I made it, it is merely for decoration. To me it is a waste. The other idea that came to me though is if on the one side you spelled out the word B-A-B-Y. The other side you could put a picture of the baby, the footprints, and the statistics. It could be a keepsake. That to me is worth making! Of course, you could improvise and put girl or boy instead of baby. I hope you enjoy this and maybe get the inspiration to make one yourself.

First Class

I finally had my very first class. We did the Fill the Keeper class. The only thing is you can no longer get the keeper. We got the main parts of the cards done. They still have to glue the card fronts to the cards, as well as, they also need to add the stickers on. Overall the class went very well. I felt very comfortable doing it and I believe they did too.
